Bring your course files as they are.
There’s no need to convert everything to PDF. Clivio reads the text of the files you already use, including scans and photos.
25 MB max per file.Google Docs, Sheets and Slides imported from Drive are converted.Phone scanner: up to 20 pages in one PDF.
From the lecture you dropped in to your study notes.
The summary first, then your questions
Each document arrives with a two- or three-sentence summary and a few tags. Open it and type your question in the “AI chat” tab. The answer cites its sources, and in a PDF the passage is highlighted.
The chat answers about the document you have open, one question at a time. Each question counts as one AI action.
When does a statement of opinion count as a statement of fact?
When the person giving it knows more than the other party, or implies they know facts that back it up. An opinion from someone with no better information usually isn’t enough.p. 3 · Smith v Land and House Property Corp · passage highlighted
Give me an example from the lecture.
A seller described a tenant as “most desirable” when the tenant was already behind on rent.p. 4 · example 2
Read a French article in English
A document’s text can be translated into English, French, German, Spanish or Chinese. That helps with a research paper, or with lectures you take abroad on an exchange.
Included in the Free plan. A translation counts as one AI action.
Search every course at once
Sort your documents by subject, then search the text of every course at once. Type “misrepresentation” and you get the lecture, the article and the seminar answers where the word appears.
A smart folder can also pull together every document tagged “to review”.
Three smart folders on the Free plan, unlimited on Pro. Searches don’t use AI actions.
Exams and seminars on your calendar
Type “contract law exam on January 12 at 9am” and Clivio turns it into a dated task with a priority. Your Tuesday seminar can become a recurring task. You’ll find all of it in the “Upcoming” view and on the calendar.
You add the dates yourself, since Clivio doesn’t connect to your class schedule. A task added in one line counts as one AI action.

Study notes and outlines from your courses Pro
In Write, pick your courses as sources and start from a template, such as “Reading notes”. You can then reformat the text as a summary or a presentation outline, simplify it or shorten it.
Proofreading and fact-checking point out what deserves a second look. What you get is a draft, and you rework it from there.
Vitiating factors
These factors can undo a contract that looks valid on its face.
- Misrepresentation, including half-truths
- Mistake, in a few narrow cases
- Duress, including economic duress
- Undue influence
50 documents in total and 50 AI actions a month.
The 50 documents are what you keep overall, not what you add each month. AI actions go back to 50 on the 1st of every month, and only some operations use them.
When you run out of actions, your documents stay put and you can still search them. You can run the analysis again the following month. If that’s not enough, Pro keeps 1,000 documents and gives you 500 actions a month, for €14.90/month.
Actions reset on November 1.
Fictional example.
What students ask us
Is the Free plan enough for a semester?
That depends on how many documents you keep, since the Free plan holds 50 in total, with 50 AI actions a month. Six classes with eight documents each comes to 48. Beyond that, Pro keeps 1,000.
Can I import PowerPoint slides?
Yes, as PPTX, PPT or ODP, up to 25 MB per file. Google Slides imported from Drive are converted too.
Does the chat answer from all my courses?
No, it answers about the document you have open and quotes the passage. To find an idea across all your courses, use search, which reads the text of each one.
Are my notes used to train an AI?
Not by Clivio, which doesn’t sell your data or train a model of its own. Analysis goes through the Google Gemini API, and part of the processing takes place in the United States. The details are on the Trust page.
Can I take a photo of a textbook page?
Yes, with the scanner, which runs in your phone’s browser with no app to install. It finds the edges of the page, lets you adjust the crop and puts up to 20 pages together in one PDF. On a computer, a QR code opens the upload screen on your phone.
Can the AI get a lecture wrong?
Yes, it can misread a passage. Every chat answer shows the page it came from, so check it before you learn it.
