All the papers you keep “just in case”.
Whether a paper arrives as a PDF, a photo or an email, Clivio recognizes what kind of document it is and gives it a title you’ll still understand two years from now.
Clivio notes the rent, the landlord and the dates. You can ask the lease your questions, and each month’s rent receipt is tracked.
The policy’s renewal date goes on your calendar, along with the insurer and the amount.
The seller, the amount and the purchase date are noted. You can find the washing machine manual by what’s written inside it.
Type “tax documents” and every notice comes up, with the year and the amounts.
The date, the practitioner and the amount are picked up. Before adding them, read the answer below about where your data is processed.
Your net pay, the period and the employer. Payslips can be tracked every month, like rent receipts.
The provider, the amount and the billing period. If this month’s bill doesn’t show up, Clivio can let you know.
The issuer and the date are noted, so they’re ready the day someone asks you for them.
Five habits that replace the shoebox.
Take a photo of the paper
The scanner works in your phone’s browser, with no app. It detects the edges of the page, lets you adjust the crop and puts up to 20 pages together in one PDF.
- Four filters, from the original to black and white
- On a computer, a QR code opens the upload screen on your phone
- The paper is then read like any other document
Ask the lease
Open the lease and ask your question the way you’d ask someone who had read it. The answer quotes the clause and highlights the passage in the PDF. For a total, ask “how much did I pay EDF in 2026”, and the sum is worked out from your bills.
A question to the AI chat counts as one AI action. A calculation question or a search doesn’t count.
Who pays to replace the water heater?
The landlord, unless the breakdown comes from a lack of routine maintenance, which is up to you.p. 5 · clause 9 · passage highlighted
And the security deposit?
€1,040, one month’s rent before charges, returned within a month of the move-out inspection if everything matches.p. 4 · clause 6
Clivio suggests the lease dates as tasks
On the lease, choose “Extract obligations”. Clivio spots the dated deadlines, such as the rent review or the end of the lease, and suggests them as tasks linked to the document. You keep the ones that matter to you.
By default, an email reminds you a week before and again the day before, at 8 AM. For the washing machine’s warranty, type it in one line and it becomes a dated task.
The main due date of each document, like your home insurance renewal, also goes on the calendar.
When the rent receipt doesn’t come
Tell Clivio how often a paper comes back (monthly, quarterly or yearly), like your rent receipt or your payslip. When it arrives, Clivio checks it off. If it’s still missing three days after the expected date, you get a heads-up.
That comes in handy the day someone asks for “your last three rent receipts”.
Send a document without showing everything
Need a proof of address? Share your electricity bill through a link that expires, with the amount and your customer number hidden. The person on the other end sees what they need and nothing more.
- Link valid for 1 hour, 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days
- Amounts, IBAN, identifiers or addresses hidden as you choose
- The link sent by email from Clivio

What a year of household papers adds up to.
The Free plan keeps 50 documents in total, which leaves room for the important papers. If you also keep every paper that comes monthly, one year is enough to go past 50, and that’s where Pro, with its 1,000 documents, starts to help.
Once you reach 50, your documents stay viewable and you can still search them. To add more, delete a few or move to Pro, at €14.90/month.
Without the monthly papers, that’s 22 documents. With them, it comes to 58, more than the Free plan holds.
Fictional example.
About household paperwork
Do I need to install an app?
No. Clivio runs in your browser, on a computer or a phone, scanner included. That’s also why reminders come by email, with no push notifications.
Where is my data processed?
Partly in the United States. Clivio runs on Google Cloud, with data encrypted in transit and at rest, and part of the processing, including analysis through the Google Gemini API, takes place in the United States under standard contractual clauses. Keep that in mind before you add health records. The details are on the Trust page.
Can I share a document with someone close to me?
Yes, through a link valid from 1 hour to 7 days, with sensitive details hidden if you want. That link has no password, but with Pro a whole folder can have one. The account itself stays personal.
What if Clivio misreads a paper?
It happens, especially with a blurry photo. You can correct the title, the type, the date and the tags, or run the analysis again. Chat answers quote their passage, so you can check them.
Can I forward bills I get by email?
Yes. Every account has its own inbox address, like firstname-xxxx@inbox.clivio.app. Attachments sent there are read, then wait for your OK in “To sort”. A direct connection to Gmail or Outlook is in the works.
Can I get my papers back or delete my account?
Yes, at any time. From the settings, you download a ZIP archive of all your files and data. You can also delete your account from the app, and the deletion becomes final after 30 days, which gives you time to change your mind.
What happens after 50 documents?
Your documents stay viewable and searchable. To add more, delete a few or switch to Pro, which keeps 1,000, for €14.90/month or €149/year, with a 7-day trial.
