DEFINITION
Each time you hand a job to the AI in Clivio, it counts as one action. Analyzing a document when it arrives is one, and so are a question in the chat, a translation, a comparison, a rewrite in Write or a task added in one line. Regular searches and calculation questions (“total for one supplier”) don’t count. You get 50 actions a month on the Free plan and 500 on Pro, and the counter resets on the 1st of each month.
What uses an AI action, and what doesn’t
An AI action is spent each time the AI does a piece of work for you. That covers the analysis of a new document, a question in the AI chat, a translation, a comparison, a rewrite or a Reformat in Write, a task added in one line, and a rule the AI builds for you.
Some things never use one. Searching your library is free, and so are calculation questions about your data, such as a total for one supplier, an average or a list: Clivio does the math on your data instead of asking the AI. Building an automation field by field is free too, while asking the AI to write it uses one action.
A month of AI actions, in practice
Say you’re on the Free plan, with 50 actions a month. You forward 20 invoices, which makes 20 analyses. You ask 5 questions in the chat, translate 2 letters into English and have the AI build 1 rule. That’s 28 actions, so 22 are left until the counter resets on the 1st. Searching for “EDF invoices 2025” ten times along the way costs nothing.
Pro includes 500 actions a month. On both plans, the counter goes back to zero on the 1st of each month.
When you run out
Nothing is lost. Your documents keep arriving and are stored, but their analysis waits. You can run it when the counter resets, or right away by moving to Pro. The document limit is a separate one: 50 documents in total on the Free plan and 1,000 on Pro, and it doesn’t reset each month.
